Walk description:

Cycle from Wolli Creek Railway to Sydney Olympic Park and return, via Homebush Bay and the Cooks River Canal; then Newington Nature Reserve and Parramatta Foreshore. Approx. 50kms. Bring picnic morning tea and/or lunch or purchase along the way. No helmet no go! 50km

Report:

We met at Wolli Creek and rode along the Cooks River Canal, entering the Olympic Parklands via a labyrinth of cycle paths running through the Wetlands. There was an abundance of birdlife there, such as Spoonbills, Oyster Catchers, Stilts and many other types.

We had the obligatory morning tea along the way, then lunch at McDonald's.

The weather couldn't have been kinder, with a sunny day and light breeze making it perfect riding weather.
